Jake Slimm
Jake Slimm grew up in Blackwood, NJ attending Highland Regional High School where he played both varsity Soccer and Ice hockey. After graduating, Jake went on to attend Neumann University on a Presidential Scholarship where he graduated with a degree in Sport Management and Business Administration. While attending Neumann, Jake played on Neumann’s ACHA hockey team for 4 years. In his tenure, he helped Neumann win 2 conference championships, 2 regional championships, and make 2 appearances in the 2013 and 2014 National Championships. Over these 4 seasons, Jake was named 2-time Academic All-American, 2-time DVCHC all-star, ACHA All-Select team, and Captain of Neumann in his senior year. Jake continued his hockey career, after graduating Neumann, playing minor professional hockey in the FHL. In his first season in the FHL, Jake competed in the Commissioner’s Cup Finals with the Danville Dashers. Jake ended his playing career in 2015 where he then became the assistant coach for Neumann University’s ACHA team from 2015-2016. In his spare time, Jake still continues to play hockey in the local CCHL of Wilmington league. He also enjoys and has a deep dedication to exercise and health, spending part of each day in the weight room, practicing yoga, and studying many different aspects of fitness.
